The Ford Motor Company has formed a major new partnership with Allied Vehicles to release the Ford Freedom™.
Allied’s engineering team has created an all-new wheelchair accessible conversion of the award winning Tourneo Connect. The new Ford Freedom™ features a unique access ramp which simply pulls out from the vehicle’s specially lowered rear floor.

“This strategic partnership signals a really exciting time for us. We’re able to use our conversion skills and expertise on a new base model and it’s already attracted a huge amount of interest.”
The alliance means that Allied is set to become the leading converter and supplier of Ford wheelchair accessible vehicles. The new Connect fits within the company’s small WAV bracket and will provide a further option for customers alongside its Peugeot Partner Horizon™ and Fiat Doblo Festival™ conversions.
Allied sales director, Peter Facenna, believes the Ford partnership will provide even more choice for customers. He said: “This strategic partnership signals a really exciting time for us.
“We’re able to use our conversion skills and expertise on a new base model and it’s already attracted a huge amount of interest.
“Fleet buyers have expressed strong interest in the latest Ford product and I’m sure it will be a popular choice for healthcare and community transport providers in particular.”
